Thought I should start sharing some of my creations. I love this card – simple and elegant, I think. I used really rust, elegant eggplant, and very vanilla card stock (Stampin’ Up). The heart and everything stamps (Stampin’ Up) are from the “Always” set – stamped with bleach. And the ribbon – who knows where I got that!

Everything card

No posts lately because Doug and I went to Cape Cod for several days. Despite nearly constant rain, we had a great time scouring beaches, eating seafood, and best of all, going on a whale watch.

I’ve never experienced anything like it – there were whales all around the boat. Much closer than I thought they would be. At one point, three whales came up right in front of the boat. So cool. Amazing animals.

I’ll get back to posting about stamping and cards soon!

Thought I’d take a minute to let you know what the Stampin’ Up specials are for the month of May.

Contact me for details or to place an order.

What a great time we had at my first Stampin’ Up open house! Everyone enjoyed making their two projects (a tag and a thank you card), perusing my samples and the catalog, and enjoying some delicious cookies. I owe a big THANK YOU to my sister, Julie, for all her help in getting ready. She spent several hours with me on Friday cutting paper and setting up tables. Plus, she made a few kinds of cookies AND made me an apron with the words “CREATE – STAMP – DESIGN” embroidered on it. She’s the best! And my Mom made some of her very delicious marble squares. I couldn’t have pulled this off without their help.

And to top it off, my husband created a beautiful display for all my samples and even made a wood stand with the Stampin’ Up logo burned into it. It was the perfect perch for a bottle of wine – with a stamped tag tied on it. It’s nice to have his support in getting my Stampin’ Up endeavor started.

Here’s my display (and me!):

I was pretty exhausted on Saturday night but am completely thrilled with how much I got done before the open house and with how the demonstrations went. Speaking of which, my sister demonstrated one of the projects and my niece, Catherine, demonstrated the other. She did a super job!

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll share some of my ideas with you. Stay tuned!
